Welcome to the Fish House Art Center
Working Artists' Studios Located on the Manatee Pocket Waterfront of Florida's Treasure Coast
The Fish House Art Center is located on the site of one of the last operating commercial fish houses on Florida's east coast on the scenic Manatee Pocket waterfront in the historic fishing village of Port Salerno, Florida, just 5 miles south of downtown Stuart. It sits at the end of Salerno Road, east of Dixie Highway (A1A).
The Fish House Art Center is "home" to eight resident artists' studios that include a glass artist, fine art painters, silk artists who create wearable art, a weaver and a beaded jewelry artist . The resident artists work in their studios year round. The public is welcome to watch them work and purchase their creations. Art Gumbo, a fine art and craft gallery, sits at the front of the Fish House, featuring local artists’ work in painting, sculpture, glass, textiles, pottery, photography, jewelry, and giftware.
You can also take classes with some of our artists. Come for a class then dine at one of the five restaurants all within easy walking distance of The Art Center. Please visit the artist's websites to inquire about the classes offered.
