Working Artists' Studios Located on the Manatee Pocket Waterfront of Florida's Treasure Coast

The Fish House Art Center is located on the site of one of the last operating commercial fish houses on Florida's east coast on the scenic Manatee Pocket

The Fish House Art Center is "home" to eight resident artists' studios that include a ceramicist,  3 fine art painters,  a fiber artist who creates hand dyed wearable art,  a weaving studio,  a mosaic artist and a lampwork beaded jewelry artist . The resident artists work in their studios year round.  The public is welcome to watch them work and purchase their creations. Art Gumbo, a fine art and craft gallery, sits at the front of the Fish House, featuring local artists’ work in painting, sculpture, glass, textiles, pottery, photography, jewelry, and giftware.

The Fish House Art Center is located on the waterfront in the historic fishing village of Port Salerno, Florida, just 5 miles south of downtown Stuart.  It sits at the end of Salerno Road, east of Dixie Highway (A1A).

You can also take classes with some of our artists.  Come for a class then dine at one of the five restaurants all within easy walking distance of The Art Center. Please visit the artist's websites to inquire about the classes offered.

Stroll our "Boardwalk" or as it is known, the "PocketWalk" to get a feel for this unique artists' community in the quaint setting of Port Salerno.

  5. Danuta's Den
    Danuta Rothschild
An artist of considerable breadth and stature,Danuta’s ability to capture the scope of human experience—from the ominous to the magically affirming—is what makes her art so powerful. The brightly hued images of Danuta’s opus, including drawings, etchings, wall-sized portraits and sculpture, eclectically coexist amidst her studio bookshelves, photos, sketches, brushes and paint-boxes that portray an artist at work.
  6. Port Salerno Mosaics
    Diane Concepcion
My self taught education was enhanced with time at The Union Square Art Cooperative in NYC and at the Institute of Mosaic Art in Berkeley, CA. I particularly love to teach and pass on my love for all things mosaic. From embellishment of the home and garden to making functional things to a strictly artistic expression -all this can be done with mosaics! Also at the studio is Asia Booth -a creative spirit who teaches Intro, Smalti, and will mentors students during studio hours...
